System restoration training by GridLab

On 22 and 23 September there were the system Trainer at GridLab in Cottbus another network reconstruction (NWA)  Training for the Greater Hamburg. Since the end of 2012 the northern line connects the Hamburg area with the rest of the network area of 50Hertz. In addition, the end of 2014, the Hamburg Moorburg plant start operating. These changes were an oppurtinity to train a new variant of the network reconstruction in Hamburg, as reported by Johannes Göbel MSC.

In addition to the Transmission Control Center 50Hertz and the distribution network operators mains Hamburg another transmission system operator has been involved in such an exercise with TenneT Germany for the first time. Also, the power plant Moor Castle was represented, so that questions about the current status and technical capabilities of the power plant could be answered.

After introductory lectures and the joint discussion of the NWA-concept on the first day, followed on the second day of the practical training. It could be constructed starting from the power station moorland castle, a stable network. Essential it was mainly the coordination and communication between all involved partners.
